AGM 2022

Nominations for officer positions (all are seeking re-election), committee and judges need to be with our secretary by 30th January, accompanied by a CV of the persons nominated.

In order to be efficient and more importantly trying to cut down on the amount of paper used, we would like to be able to send out all the relevant AGM paperwork via email (with the exception of ballot papers).

We hope the membership will support the Club in trying to be greener and if you have not supplied your email information to me, it would very much appreciated if you could do so asap. Please send it to the Club email address enquiries@britishgordonsetterclub.co.uk. Many thanks

The safety and security of competitors, spectators, volunteers and staff at Kennel Club events continues to be of paramount importance. In light of the continued restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kennel Club has taken the decision with regret to extend its strong recommendation that clubs and societies cancel forthcoming events until the end of September and that serious consideration should be given to events due to be held after this date.

GORDON SETTER BREED HEART SURVEY

Please select the Breed Health Page to fill in our very important  Gordon Setter Breed Heart Survey

News from the Kennel Club…

Dear Breed Health Coordinator,

The Kennel Club’s Health Team would like to make you aware that following consultation with the Dog Health Group, the Kennel Club has confirmed that from 1st August 2018, any DNA health test result submitted for inclusion on its database must have at least two forms of identification on the result certificate.

It will be mandatory to include the dog’s microchip or tattoo number along with either the dog’s registered name or registered number. Any test results that do not carry these identifying features will not be accepted.

This brings the recording of DNA test results in line with those health tests carried out by the British Veterinary Association.

If you would be able to disseminate this information amongst breeders and owners in your breed it would be greatly appreciated.

Should you have any queries regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or another member of the Health Team.

Kind regards

Hannah
